RunResell FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers to common situations when buying, selling and transferring a registration.

Registration transfer

Materials that genuinely allow the buyer to continue the official transfer, such as a transfer code, link, registration confirmation, organizer email, PDF, screenshot with instructions or another official document. An unrelated document is not sufficient.

That is fine. Transfer procedures differ by organizer. The seller should provide the actual method used by the organizer: a code, link, email correspondence or another official procedure.

If the transfer fails for a reason attributable to the seller, such as a non-transferable registration or incorrect listing information, the buyer can report a problem and RunResell will review the case. A seller-attributable failure may result in a refund including the buyer service fee.

First contact the other party and the organizer and try to correct the details. If correction is impossible and the transfer fails, report the problem to RunResell in time. The outcome depends on who caused the error and whether it could reasonably be corrected.

Deadlines, emails and confirmation

The seller has up to 48 hours after being notified of the sale to start the transfer and provide the required materials, unless a specific case states otherwise.

The transaction may be cancelled and the buyer refunded. If the cancellation results from the seller breaching their obligations, a Failed Transaction Fee may also apply under the Terms.

The buyer has up to 3 days to complete the required steps, confirm a successful transfer or report a problem. If no problem is reported in time, the transaction may be treated as completed.

Both parties receive a confirmation after purchase. The buyer is notified when transfer materials are uploaded. The system also sends reminders before relevant deadlines and notifications when the transfer is confirmed, a dispute is opened or another transaction decision is made.

Price, organizer and refunds

For some events, the buyer must pay the organizer a new entry fee or another required amount during the transfer. This amount is not paid through RunResell. Through RunResell the buyer pays only the RunResell listing amount and buyer service fee.

The seller is responsible for verifying the correct amount before publishing. If the seller stated a lower amount and the buyer incurs an additional cost, RunResell may reduce the seller payout by the difference when resolving a dispute.

This depends entirely on the organizer’s rules. Some refund 100%, some only part, and some nothing. The seller must verify this before creating the listing. Any refund normally relates to the amount originally paid by the seller.

If the requirement was correctly disclosed or reasonably ascertainable and the seller is cooperating, cancellation may be classified as attributable to the buyer. In that case the buyer service fee may remain non-refundable.

Disputes, refunds and payouts

When the transfer cannot be completed, the details do not match, the registration is invalid, the seller is not providing necessary cooperation or another problem cannot be resolved directly. Report it before the review deadline expires.

Typical evidence includes screenshots, organizer emails, registration confirmations, payment proof, transfer codes, links, chat messages and other materials showing what actually happened.

Yes. For a partial settlement, an administrator may set the buyer refund, seller payout and RunResell fees. Money paid directly to an organizer is not processed through RunResell Stripe and cannot be refunded by RunResell.

After successful completion, the seller payment is released through Stripe. The final arrival time depends on Stripe processing, account verification and the seller’s bank.

Important deadlines and disputes

Yes. If the registration is not yet in your name and the 72-hour review is about to expire, open a dispute even when the transfer is progressing normally and you are simply waiting for the organizer, such as with an email-based transfer. This prevents automatic completion and keeps the payout on hold until the transfer finishes.

No. A dispute can simply protect and extend an ongoing transfer that takes longer than 72 hours. Only if the transfer cannot be completed, the information conflicts, or a party fails to meet its obligations does the case move into actual dispute resolution and evidence review.

The order is cancelled and the buyer receives a full refund of the amount processed through RunResell, including the service fee. The seller is charged a cancelled-transaction cost fee: 1.5% of the listing price plus CZK 20, EUR 0.80 or USD 0.90, rounded up to the cent. New listings are blocked until it is paid.

The primary burden of proof regarding the existence, correctness and transferability of the registration lies with the seller. The buyer must still cooperate and substantiate relevant facts on their side.

An administrator may decide for the seller and release the payout; decide for the buyer and refund the payment; or make a partial settlement. The transaction may also be returned to the buyer for a new 48-hour review period.

Part of the Stripe-processed amount can be refunded to the buyer and the remainder paid to the seller. A typical example is an organizer fee that is higher than the seller disclosed. RunResell may reduce the seller payout by that difference. Money paid directly to the organizer cannot be refunded by RunResell.

Explain chronologically what happened, what has already been done and exactly what is missing. Attach relevant organizer emails, registration confirmations, screenshots, transfer codes, links and messages between the parties. The payout remains on hold during the dispute.
