Why RunResell was created

Across the internet, you can find many listings for selling race registrations. The problem is that most of them require upfront payment without any protection.

That makes it very easy to lose money or end up without a valid registration.

We experienced this ourselves when trying to get a spot for the Prague Half Marathon, which sold out in less than three hours.

Most sellers demanded payment in advance and refused to meet in person or use any safer method. Some sellers even stopped communicating completely after agreeing on a meeting and immediately blocked us.

Out of ten people we contacted, only one was willing to meet in person and complete the transfer properly. Although we did not lose money thanks to our experience, we still spent around eight hours messaging, negotiating, and dealing with uncertainty.

That is when RunResell was created.
